Who instructs at IKCC Fairhope?

IKCC Fairhope is taught by Rommel Cortezano.

​

About Rommel Cortezano: Rommel Cortezano has been a student and teacher of the martial arts for over 25 years. He is also a retired service member, former police officer, and Security Tech for a mental health facility housing criminals from various correctional facilities. He calls himself a student first because he is always trying to evolve his art so he could better understand and pass it on to others. He has studied and earned black belts, instructor rankings and certifications through various arts such as kempo, karate, taekwondo, NSI and cross trained with other great instructors. He was exposed in the art of Kali/Arnis in the mid 1990s, fell in love with the concept and incorporates it in everything he has learned, hence Integrating Kali Combative Concepts.

While serving in the Navy, Rommel taught IKCC in various U.S. military bases stateside and overseas, to include Okinawa, Japan. The chapter that he started there is still active today. Since retiring from the military, Rommel has settled down with his family in Fairhope, Al. Rommel wants to bring IKCC to the Gulf Coast area, teaching students in Daphne, Fairhope, and Spanish Fort.
